Traditional Latin Mass Returning to Five Wounds Church

The Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite will be returning to Five Wounds Portuguese National Church.  Below please find the official announcement of the Institute of Christ the King concerning the matter:

With the blessing of His Excellency, Bishop McGrath, the Institute will continue its apostolate with the same canonical privileges under the name of Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory. Beginning next Sunday, December 15, Sunday Masses will be offered for the time being at 12:30pm at Five Wounds Parish Church (1375 E. Santa Clara St in San Jose). The Institute's vice provincial, Canon Matthew Talarico, will be the celebrant and looks forward to greeting the Oratory faithful after Mass together with Canon Olivier Meney, Oratory Rector. The schedule for daily Masses will be published in next Sunday's bulletin.

The Institute is deeply grateful to Bishop McGrath for his support and direction, as well as for this opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to the faithful of the Diocese of San Jose. We invite you to join us next Sunday in this new location where the Institute will continue its apostolate under the patronage of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. You are welcome to share your contact information with the Oratory Rector, Canon Meney, so that you can be informed in the most timely manner with any updated information regarding the Masses and activities of the apostolate.
